Supported Activities

The James P. Geiss and Margaret Y. Hsu Foundation awards funding for scholarly activities that confirm its mission.

Most awards fall into two categories: publication subventions, which help support the publication of scholarly works; and other types of projects, which include but are not limited to, conferences, workshops, and exhibitions. The Geiss Hsu Foundation is committed to aiding other types of projects that confirm its mission, but do not necessarily fall into these categories.

The Geiss Hsu Foundation invites not-for-profit publishers and academic presses to apply for awards supporting the publication of books and other works of scholarship that fall within the parameters of the mission statement.
